Making the decision that a nursing home is the best place for your loved one is never easy. When you choose a facility to care for, support, protect, and create a warm home environment for an older adult you care about, you trust that things will go well even when you can’t be there. But no matter how ideal a nursing home may be, you still need to be involved in your family member or friend’s life to make sure they receive the care and attention they need—and that’s right for them as an individual. Concerned relatives of an older adult who moved into a long-term care facility may be asking: How can I check on my loved one in a nursing home?

What to Do After a T-Bone Accident
Even when there are stop signs or traffic lights, intersections can be tricky places to navigate. Any time that you are dealing with multiple lanes and flows of traffic there is the potential for serious harm, including T-bone accidents.

After the initial impact in a T-bone accident, one car is often pushed off its original course and into other lanes of traffic. This creates an opportunity for a second impact, more injuries, additional vehicle damage, and even death.

Since wrongful death lawsuits are filed on behalf of someone else, it’s understandable that there are rules that govern how a settlement is divided.

Intersections can be confusing even for the most well-seasoned drivers. It may even seem like everyone approaches red lights and stop signs a little differently, some choosing to stop while others quickly roll through.

While you might be tempted to simply go along with what everyone else is doing, it is best to stick to the rules of the road to help limit the risk of an accident or serious injuries.

Arkansas Opens Two-Year Revival Window for Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse

Published on Jan 26, 2022 at 4:45 pm in Sexual Abuse.

A new law in Arkansas provides survivors of childhood sexual abuse a new opportunity to take civil action against an abuser or organization responsible for abuse. This is significant news for child sexual abuse victims whose cases were once considered expired due to state statutes of limitations.

While some aspects of this law will remain permanent, there are parts that are temporary and allow a limited time for legal action. The two-year revival window for filing sexual abuse claims is only open between February 1, 2022 and January 31, 2024. To learn more about this important legislative step, please reach out to an attorney from McMath Woods P.A. who represents survivors of sexual abuse in the state of Arkansas.

Overturned truck

There is no doubt that accidents involving large commercial trucks like tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, big rigs, and 18-wheelers cause serious damage. By many standards of measurement, truck accidents are far worse than car accidents, despite occurring less frequently. The risks of being a truck driver are significant—as are the risks to the drivers of cars, small trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles that share the road with large commercial vehicles.
