McMath Woods P.A. Sponsors Safety Town, Helps Kids Prioritize Safety

Safety Town, a fun, five-day safety awareness program designed for rising kindergartners, hosted and graduated over 310 children within the Little Rock community this month. The program expanded this year to offer an additional week and an optional location to accommodate the community’s interest for the educational experience. Pulaski Academy and Episcopal Collegiate School served as the two Safety Town locations. McMath Woods P.A. was again a proud lead sponsor of this essential community program.

The Arkansas Bar Association held its 121st Annual Meeting in Hot Springs over the weekend. The three-day conference, themed “Game Changers,” included a diverse array of continuing education sessions, keynote speakers such as Olympic gymnast and law graduate Shannon Miller, and various awards acknowledging outstanding service of lawyers in Arkansas. Sarah C. Jewell was recognized for her year of service as 2018-2019 Chair of the Arkansas Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section (YLS). YLS is the primary service arm of the Association and provides leadership opportunities for young lawyers within the organization and in the community.

The Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA) Awards Committee and Board of Directors recently recognized McMath Woods P.A. attorney Sarah Jewell with the 2019 ATLA Outstanding Young Lawyer Award at the organization’s annual meeting. Jewell was chosen to receive the award for demonstrating the skills, ethics, and dedication to advancing and protecting the rights of individuals and the American Justice System.

Sabrina Marshall of McMath Woods P.A. Honored by Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association

The Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA) recently awarded Sabrina Marshall of McMath Woods P.A. with the Outstanding Paralegal/Legal Assistant Award at the organization’s annual meeting held in North Little Rock. The award is given in recognition of outstanding service to and support of the legal profession with an emphasis on contributions made in the past year.

Marshall was chosen by the ATLA Awards Committee and the Board of Directors to receive the Outstanding Paralegal/Legal Assistant Award for consistently demonstrating the skill, professionalism, and dedication to advancing the efficient and effective operation of the law firm in which she works.

McMath Woods P.A. Sponsoring Little Rock’s 38th Annual Soup Sunday

On Sunday, February 24th, the attorneys of McMath Woods P.A. will serve as a community sponsor of the 38th annual Little Rock Soup Sunday benefitting Arkansas Advocates for Children & Families (AACF).

Approximately 2000 soup lovers will gather at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock from 4-7 p.m. to taste an abundance of delicious soups, breads and desserts from Central Arkansas’ favorite restaurants. Ciao Baci chef, Jeff Owen, will be honored as the event’s featured chef and serve up a uniquely crafted soup for event patrons and sponsors in the Patron Room.

Proceeds of Soup Sunday benefit AACF’s work to ensure that all children have the resources and opportunities they need to lead healthy, productive lives and to reach their full potential. AACF was founded over 40 years ago and continues to effectively make an impact with their efforts to advocate for Arkansas’ most vulnerable children through systematic reforms related to quality of life issues and support of the state’s foster system and other state programs.

McMath Woods P.A. Welcomes Sarah C. Jewell

LITTLE ROCK, AR, January 16, 2019 – McMath Woods P.A. is pleased to announce that Sarah C. Jewell has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Sarah will continue her personal injury practice in Fayetteville, where McMath Woods P.A. will open an office in 2019. Sarah’s injury and wrongful death practice, including her experience in car crashes and premises liability, will complement the firm’s core litigation practice and ethical pursuit of justice for individuals.

With the addition of Sarah in a Fayetteville office, we can serve the Northwest portion of our state like we have in Central Arkansas for 66 years. Prior to joining McMath Woods P.A. in 2019, Sarah was formerly an associate attorney at Hare Wynn and Daniels Law Firm. Sarah obtained her J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law. She received her B.A. in English from the University of Arkansas and M.A. in English from Texas Christian University.
