Perfect Fitness has agreed to pay $425,000 in penalties to the Consumer Product Safety Commission over allegations that the company failed to report a product defect. The agency claims Perfect Fitness was aware of a defect in its Perfect Pullup product in June 2008, but did not report the defect until December 2010, a violation of federal law. In February, the company issued a recall of 7,000 units of the product. Carter Stein
